Some people propose that we reject all authority. They hold that law and order is bad, and that for true happiness, mankind should trust in his natural instincts and embrace anarchy. They hold that is man does want he wants, and natural equilibrium will evolve, leading to peace and happiness in chaos. What they fail to realize, however, is that the world is already chaos. There are no absolute rules that need be followed, only arbitrary ones supported by force. Look back at the very beginning of human existence. There was no society, with its rules and regulations, to speak of. All there was were small family groups that foraged for food together. If they didn't like how the others acted, they left. This was true anarchy -- mankind left to follow his desire, and work his will as he wished. However, some peoples wills conflicted with the desire of others. This was a natural thing, and in the contest of wills, whom ever was stronger got to impose their will on the world. It came to pass that some of these first people had very strong wills and strong bodies as well. When a conflict arose, they usually one, imposing their will upon others. If their will was strong enough, they were able to imprint their desires upon the meme of their little band, and have it incorporated into the minds of future generations. As time passed, these simple memes became more complex evolving much as their human hosts had done. After many years passed, they had become so complex that they completely hid the underlying chaos from which they sprung. Thus today, many people propose that we reject the law and order, and raise up the banner of anarchy and chaos, not realizing that every thing they hate is the end result of 2 million years of memetilogical evolution from the chaos and anarchy they propose. The world is already chaos, and the system we despise is one of our own creation. To return to the original state of the chaos will do nothing, we would find ourselves in an eternal struggle against human nature and the law of evolution, fighting against the very chaos we support. Rather we must go beyond humanity, not in body, but in mind. We must begin a war of memes, a war that will move us beyond the limited scope of the human mind into something new, where we will be safe from the old memes which enslave us.
